Thanks to its ideal geographical location, Ecuador harvests a great wealth of agricultural produce throughout the year. Every day, small regional agricultural producers offer their fresh products in the squares, streets, and farmers markets around the city.
On this tour, we are going to visit one of the most emblematic markets of Quito, where you will get to know and taste some very exotic fruits like Najaranjilla and Taxo. We will see a fantastic variety of organic vegetables amongst other local produce that form the basis of the delicious Ecuadorian cuisine. On our adventure, you will also learn about the country’s knack for cultivation and management of ornamental and especially flowering plants - one of Ecuador greatest sources of international fame. Our fun route will end by getting information about Ecuadorian's beliefs that are mainly related to the Mother Earth (Pachamama) and its important role in their physical and spiritual health.
