We will leave Iguaçu National Park and continue towards Ciudad del Este, crossing the Friendship Bridge for a panoramic visit of the Itaipu Binational Dam. Upon arrival, we will watch a 10-minute video at the visitor center to learn about the construction process of this gigantic project. Then, we will board a two-story open-top bus to enjoy a tour of the Itaipu hydroelectric plant. We will stop at the Spillway viewpoint, where we can admire the constant flow of water from the dam. A sight worth seeing! We will continue to Paraguay, crossing a 196-meterhigh wall while enjoying views of the subtropical forest surrounding Itaipu. Finally, we will bid farewell to one of the greatest engineering feats in the world and return to the hotel.
