Vulcano Rucu Pichincha
The path leads you through typical paramo vegetation (Andean highland vegetation) along the eastern flank over small fields of scree and sand to the rocky summit of the Rucu Pichincha. Initially on wide paths and later on small paths. Easy climbing grade I on the summit structure. On a clear day you can enjoy a great view of Quito in the valley and the snow-capped giants Cayambe, Antisano and Cotopaxi as well as the twin volcano Guagua Pichincha.
