Space Observatory
The observation site is located in the Ayllu de Solor of San Pedro de Atacama, about five kilometers from the city center. Two professional Skywatcher Dobsonian telescopes are installed there, both with a 16-inch mirror (40 cm in diameter) and a height of approximately two meters. The tour starts in San Pedro de Atacama.
The night experience includes observing the sky through the telescopes, accompanied by a light snack and drinks. Upon request, guests can take night photographs – individually or in groups – against the backdrop of the starry sky. Another highlight is the lecture (naked-eye observations), which covers the classical interpretation of the sky (Greek/Roman). The observation site reflects the Andean worldview and is designed as a chakana (Andean cross) with a central water mirror reflecting the stars. Pick-up from your hotel is available.
