About 2 hours by car from Quito is the Mountain of Light "Montaña de Luz", above the village of Pablo Arenas and with 360 degree views of the mountains in northern Ecuador. In just a few years, a large botanical garden with hotel and restaurant has sprung up on what was once a barren bun mountain. Montaña de Luz is a power place for silence, meditation and spirituality. It offers a TAO, a Zen garden, various plant gardens, and spiritual guidance from a Reiki master.
The eight wooden houses, lovingly built from natural materials, can accommodate up to 20 people.
