Day 1
Journey to Colca Canyon
You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning.
During your trip, you will make several stops, the first one being in Lagunillas, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and observe Andean birds. Our next stop will be at a restaurant in Patawasi, where you can drink mate de coca (not included). Here you can see Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu from behind and observe the forest of stones, rock formations shaped like trees. Here we will change cars and continue our journey, making another stop in the pampas of Toccra. Here there are lagoons, water from underground. Discover llamas, alpacas, and native mule drivers, as well as some Andean birds. The next stop is the Andean viewpoint called Pata Pampa. It is located at an altitude of 4,900 meters and is the highest point of the entire trip. Here you can see 8 volcanoes forming a circle of fire. From here, we descend to Chivay, the most important town in the Colca Valley. Chivay is located at an altitude of 3,650 meters. Once in Chivay, we have time for lunch. After lunch, the tour guide will take you to your hotel and in the afternoon you will meet up with the tour guide to drive to the hot springs called La Calera (entrance fee not included). After La Calera, you will return to your hotel for the night. Overnight stay at Hotel Belomond - Las Casitas.
Day 2
Condor's Cross and Thermal Springs
After breakfast between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m., your guide will pick you up from your hotel with the transport. You will then visit the village of Yanque with its church, considered the most beautiful in the Colca Valley. Travelers will then take a rustic trail to enjoy the beautiful views of the Colca Valley with its terraced fields for agriculture for about an hour and a half until reaching the Condor Cross. There you can admire the Colca Canyon and the flight of the condors. After enjoying the Colca Canyon and the flight of the condors, you will return to Chivay along the same route, but with a few stops along the way, such as the Huayra Punko viewpoint, which offers a magnificent view of the Colca Valley. The next stop is the Antahuilque viewpoint, where you can see the amphitheater-shaped terraces and mysterious ponds of the Colca Valley. You will visit the village of Maca and then return to Chivay, where we will have time for lunch. Afterwards, you will be taken back to your hotel and have free time at your leisure.
Day 3
Drive to Arequipa
After breakfast, you will depart for Arequipa, where you will arrive in the early afternoon. During the journey, you can observe how the landscape gradually changes from the rather barren landscape of the Altiplano to the green terraces of the Colca Valley. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
