In the national park, glowing mountain lagoons, huge glacial ice, steep granite peaks and the Patagonian fauna offer an incredible spectacle. A sporty day tour leads through the Valle del Silencio to the Las Torres base**,** at the foot of the granite needles. From the starting point, the Hotel Las Torres in the Sector Central, you should plan around 8 hours of hiking for the outward and return journey. The last kilometer to the viewpoint is steep and leads over scree. Fitness and concentration are required and the hike should not be underestimated. Overnight stay at Hotel Pampa Lodge.

Day 4

Torres del Paine National Park - El Calafate, Argentina

You set off after breakfast and cross the border into Argentina today. Once again, the journey is the destination. You should allow around 6 to 8 hours for the approximately 340 kilometers with a few stops. In the evening, explore the city on your own and visit the Glaciarium information and presentation center, which provides information about the numerous glaciers in the region. Day 6

Continue to El Chaltén at the foot of the Fritz Roy massif

After breakfast, you continue to El Chaltén. The small town lies at the foot of the Fritz Roy massif. Once again, the journey is the destination. Depending on the stops, the journey takes two to three hours for 215 km. You can go on your first hike in the afternoon. We recommend you walk to two viewing platforms where you can see condors and have a view of the steppe.

Day 7 - 8

Hike to the Fritz Roy massif

Various hikes start directly from El Chaltén. The village lives only from its visitors and comes to life from October to March. The hikes have different levels of difficulty. They go to Laguna de los Tres or Laguna Torre - both with breathtaking views of the Cerro Fritz Roy massif, Cerro Torre and various glaciers.

We recommend the hike to Laguna del los Tres. The distance - there and back - is 25 km. You will cover 700 meters and will be on the road for approx. 8-9 hours at a medium level of difficulty. This hike leads to the famous rock formation that contains the Fitz Roy. The view over the "De los Tres" lagoon to these mountains is breathtaking and well worth the effort to see this natural spectacle.

On the second day we recommend an easier hike or simply a day to relax. B&B.

Day 9

Drive across the Chilean border to Puerto Natales

You continue across the border to Chile and to Puerto Natales. Depending on the stops, the journey takes 6 to 7 hours for 493 km. It is worth starting early. After a short time, you will reach the Ruta Nacional 40 - at 5,301 kilometers, the longest national road in Argentina and one of the longest highways in the world. Alongside the Panamericana, it is one of the most famous roads in South America and is of great importance to tourists.
