Punta Suarez on Española
After a 2 hour speedboat ride, you will reach Punta Suarez on Española, a geologically interesting island where you can explore the volcanic formations and discover the eclectic fauna. Large sea lion and seabird colonies, including the Española mockingbird, the nazca booby, and the spectacular red-billed tropicbird can be found in Punta Suarez. There are also marine iguanas, lizards, and the Sally Lightfoot crabs
Take a long hike past nazca boobys, blue-footed boobies, and Earth's largest colony of the waved albatross. Make a final stop to admire the dramatic topography of the famous Blow Hole, catapulting seawater an impressive 23 meters into the air.
Snorkeling or diving at Gardner Island
In the afternoon we drop anchor in Gardner Bay, with an opportunity to relax or snorkel with sea lions and sea turtles. When snorkeling or diving, you have the opportunity to see the diverse underwater world of Gardner Island. Californian angelfish, neon fish, parrotfish, manta rays and white tip reef sharks all call these waters home.
If you prefer to stay dry, you are welcome to relax and enjoy the weather and surroundings from the comfort of the boat. Going ashore, however, is not an option while the other participants are snorkeling or diving.
There will only be one dive at Bajo Gardner.
