Drive to Mitad del Mundo, the monument to the Equator at 0° latitude. Stand with one leg on the northern hemisphere and the other on the southern hemisphere and walk around the impressive grounds.

After this, we strongly recommend visiting the Intiñan interactive museum where you can participate in many experiments: Can you balance an egg on a nail on the equator line? Does the direction of the water flow change when you stand on different sides of the line? The museum also provides an overview of the different cultures and indigenous peoples of Ecuador.
